As the name implies, this portion of the trail passes by the historic Fort Norfolk—the last remaining harbor-front fort authorized by George Washington in 1794. It also encompasses local favorite Plum Point Park.

Fort Norfolk
The fort overlooks the Elizabeth River and includes earthwork embankments, ramparts, a dungeon, officer's quarters, powder magazine, barracks, and guardhouse. Admission is free.

Located on the south side of Brambleton Avenue, just west of Colley Avenue. This trail section features 8 dedicated parking spaces for Plum Point Park.

Northern most station on the Tide Light Rail. From this station you can access the Fort Norfolk Medical Center, Plum Point Park, the trail, and Sentara, EVMS, and CHKD across Brambleton Ave.
