Tour de BFF

On Sunday, August 2nd, be welcomed aboard the Tour de BFF: the unofficial ERT friendSHIP for our next Tour de ORF leisurely Sunday bike ride! August 2nd is National Friendship Day. Become a friend of the ERT by becoming a Wayfinder, our monthly giving community of people who support and experience the ERT together. Each Wayfinder sign-up onsite at the Tour de ORF gets an ice cream sandwich for National Ice Cream Sandwich Day!! TWO (2) for one cycle-bration! Bring your tandem bikes and best friends. This is a nautical, ship-themed ride – you are more than welcome to come dressed up for the occasion! 

While here, come meet our new friends from Xylem Tree Care: the official Corporate Donor sponsor for the Tour de ORF bike ride series! The first 12 participants get an unofficial ERT friendship bracelet, and the Tour de ORF participant who brings the most friends with them WINS a vintage Elizabeth River Trail t-shirt!

Come on, sailor! Let’s set sail together on the friendSHIP and say “bon voyage” to summertime. The group ride will begin at 3 PM from Afterglow Brewing. The ride uses the ERT and Norfolk bike lanes and should take approximately one (1) hour. We’ll return to Afterglow for a post-ride cool down! All skill levels are welcome! 

We’ll always have an experienced rider leading the Tour and are happy to have volunteers as sweepers and mid-pack riders to assist the group. Interested volunteers should email hello@elizabethrivertrail.org.
