On August 16, Jeff Robertson Park was given a refresh from 14 Sailors from the USS John Warner. In just 2.5 hours, a few hundred pounds of yard waste were collected, including a massive pile of bamboo that was cut back from the bridge leading to Chelsea. The sailors also spread new mulch around the play structure by The Glowline. These Navy personnel serve our country and our community. We’re proud to be home to our military families, whether they are here for training, deployment, or a short duty station stay, the Elizabeth River Trail offers health and wellness opportunities for anyone finding their sea legs in Norfolk. Volunteer service is a great way to get to know the area and all we have to offer. Thank you to the USS John Warner crew!
